This follows a recent donation to the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital and was done in a bid to shore up reserves of crucial personal protective equipment (PPE) and other essential supplies.
The donations from ZEN included 100 boxes of face masks, 400boxes of examination gloves, 30 gallons of 5L sanitisers, 200 bottles of 200ml sanitisers, 6 infrared thermometers and 50 gallons of disinfectants, all valued at GH¢50,000. The donations come as Ghana reaches a case count of 8070, with 2,947 recoveries and 36 deaths, as of 1 June 2020.
Speaking to the media, Logistics and Supply Chain Manager,Rodger Larbi-Amoah expressed ZEN’s commitment to the continued fight against the novel Coronavirus in communities the company operates in across Ghana. Hes aid, “as we come together across the country to curb the spread of theCoronavirus, it is important to us at ZEN that our communities aren’t left out.We will continue to do our bit to ensure our friends, families and customers are as safe as possible.” He also praised the healthcare workers at Effia-Nkwantafor their dedication to the wellbeing of the community and expressed the company’s commitment to supporting frontline health workers across the country.He was supported by William Amankrah, Francis Kwesi Borson and Nelson Fordjour Oppong.
This donation forms part of ZEN’s response to the Corona virus crisis, which has included donations to other primary healthcare facilities across the country and a major reduction in pump prices in a bid to mitigate the far-reaching effects of the ongoing pandemic and ease the economic pressure on Ghanaians.
